Our Volunteer Spotlight is a monthly feature where we highlight one of the many volunteers who make the AMA a vibrant organization. These volunteers give their time and energy to improve the Pittsburgh marketing community, and we thank them for their hard work and dedication. There are volunteers working in many different AMA committees and quite simply, the AMA couldn’t operate without them.
This month, we’re featuring Justin Nescott.
- What’s your position/committee with the AMA?
Currently: Email Manager (Formerly VP Communications and Social Media Manager)
- When did you join your committee?
- What do you enjoy about AMA Pittsburgh?
Networking with other leading marketers in the region, both professionally and personally has been a great opportunity and experience for me. I have also greatly enjoyed working with a dedicated committee and board.
- Current Full Time Position/Company
I am the Global Email and Event Marketing Specialist at ANSYS, Inc.
- What do you do?
ANSYS, Inc. is the global leader in engineering simulation – helping companies in every industry from automotive to aerospace and healthcare to sports improve their final product design and get to the market faster than its competition.
- What does your job entail?
In my role, I support our global marketing teams with anything regarding their email distribution and certain events. I provide training and coding support in our email platform.
- What do you find most interesting about marketing?
While I work in a B2B company, we handle much of our marketing as a B2C. So, that requires me to merge both marketing strategies throughout our campaigns to ensure that we reach the correct audiences with our messaging. This requires our marketing team to always command a strong aspect of both marketing strategies throughout our projects.
